A new regulation similar to the ones in force in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland & Labrador and in Quebec now requires Brand Owners to collect and process the following products in the province of the Nova Scotia :
- Oils;
- Filters;
- Glycol (Antifreeze);
- Containers of oil, glycol (antifreeze) and diesel exhaust fuel (50L. or less);
- Aerosol lubricants automotive part cleaners.
On March 1st, 2019, in the Royal Gazette was published this new Regulation (attached) under the name **Regulation, Solid Waste‐Resource Management Regulations, made under Section 102 the Environmental Protection Act**. The program came into effect on January 1st, 2020
